Mr President,

I would like to thank the Assistant Secretary General and the Head of the Office of the Deputy Secretary General for their presentations. I take note of Mr Johnson's speech.

We have spoken on this subject several times in the past. Allow me to repeat the main points of our previous statements.

Switzerland remains concerned about the alleged acts of sabotage against the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines in September 2022, which led to considerable gas leaks.

Switzerland condemns all acts of sabotage against critical infrastructure, including energy infrastructure.

Such acts can have harmful consequences for the supply of the population, the economy and the environment.

We welcome the fact that information on the investigations carried out by Denmark, Germany and Sweden has been provided on a regular basis. We note that the national investigation in Germany is ongoing and we are waiting until its conclusion.

We have indeed received a request from Russia in connection with the International Conventions for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings and the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, and we have replied in writing that this request is being examined.

Thank you.
